Comments - this is bizarre

Thank you for visiting yesterday, and for the comments.

I am having the most bizarre time with Blogger at present. Clearly I am signed in because otherwise I would not be able to post this - but I cannot reply to any of the comments left yesterday. I have tried in Safari (both regular and private mode), Firefox and Chrome. I'm on the same computer I used yesterday which has not been rebooted or updated in the last 24 hours. But all I see is the blue "sign in to leave a comment" box and when I click that I do not get logged in. Very strange and I am not in the mood to try to resolve it this morning.

So to Sue in Suffolk - thank you for still visiting!

To Sooze - hope you had a lovely birthday, and yes to the 'grief thing'.

Vix - you are so wise, and yes, I often look through my old blog. That probably makes me a Grade A Saddo but who cares? 🤣 🤣

To Granny S - bimble is a terrific word. Dictionary definition is to walk with no particular haste or purpose. I think that should be my "word of the week", maybe even the word of the month 😉

And now, as it is blowing an absolute HOOLEY outside I am officially declaring today an indoors one, so I will finish feeding and waxing some wooden furniture whose timbers are overdue a bit of care and love.

  1. I can't comment on blogs when using my phone, it's a pain, I'm ok with my desk top.

    1. Thanks Marlene, I wish I could work out where the ‘fail’ is.
I’m now on my iPad - cannot log in with Safari, but the Blogger cookies have been accepted in Firefox. Go figure??

  2. Google in general is acting up for me, I struggled to write descriptions on eBay yesterday ,couldn't chat to my Facebook friend and the replies left on my blog comments vanished into the ether. I thought it was just me and the PC was on the blink.
You're not a grade A saddo! After I published my blog yesterday I looked back at the post I'd written a year ago and I was wearing the same outfit! Bizzare! xxx

    1. It’s not just you & me Vix, lots of folk struggle to get Google to accept their sign in. I just shrug my shoulders now, and know I have to go and get the iPad out if I want to ‘talk’ to any bloggers.

Of course you have made me look back at my blogging for this time last year - it would appear I was on an extended break 😆

  3. And now another cool word...hooley! You know, I have been blogging for almost 17 years. When I read those earlier blogs I am amazed at my energy.

    1. I continue to laugh at how we are two countries separated by a common language :-).

I’ve been blogging since March 2008 and I sometimes horrified when I look back and see how much I used to do in one day. I do not mind getting older but I really would love to have that much energy again.

  4. I've had a similar issue with Blogger before. I can't remember exactly how I got round it but it seemed to stem from my privacy settings. X

    1. You are right Jules, and I do have the desktop machine locked down as far as privacy goes. Getting into the habit of using the iPad for comments won’t kill me 😉

Thanks for dropping by, and to those who leave a comment, they are all very much appreciated 😎.

Comment moderation is enabled for posts older than 3 days. However, Blogger is still randomly assigning Spam designation to comments which are most definitely not and sometimes it takes me a while to find them and click publish, sorry if yours is delayed.

Because so many of us are having trouble getting Blogger to accept a sign-in so that we can leave comments I am trying the risky strategy of changing the settings to "Anyone". Spammers will be deleted as soon as I notice them.
